St. James United Methodist Church is an active and growing congregation located in the Woodland Heights neighborhood on the west side of Spartanburg, South Carolina. The church is deeply committed to community engagement, operating a seasonal community garden where neighbors are invited to harvest fresh vegetables and hosting the annual Fall Festival since 2002, which has become a valued gift to the Spartanburg community featuring baked goods, barbecue, crafts, and family activities. Each December, the church welcomes the community to a free live drive-thru Nativity event.
