St. Tikhon Orthodox Church, founded in 2003, is a parish of the Orthodox Church in America located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The church is dedicated to showing the supreme beauty of Christ and His love for mankind through Eucharistic worship, hospitality, and service. All services are conducted in English, featuring acapella singing with words drawn entirely from Scripture and ancient Christian texts. The parish welcomes visitors and invites them to experience the beauty of Orthodox worship, which is best understood through direct participation. The church space is filled with icons that remind worshippers they are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses participating in the heavenly liturgy.
