About St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church
Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Corpus Christi was founded in 1950 by Greek Orthodox immigrants whose vision began in 1936 with the "Delphi" ladies' group raising funds through baked goods and Bible studies. The church was officially consecrated in 1971 and remains a vibrant, growing parish serving families of diverse backgrounds including Greek, English, Spanish, Romanian, Russian, and Arabic speakers. Under the leadership of Presiding Priest Rev. Fr. Thomas Bartz and retired Fr. Gregory Peterson, the parish welcomes both those raised in the Orthodox faith and newcomers seeking the ancient Christian tradition. Saint Nicholas is part of the Metropolis of Denver within the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
