About Saints Constantine and Helen Serbian Orthodox Church
Saints Constantine and Helen Serbian Orthodox Church in Galveston is one of the second oldest Serbian Orthodox parishes in the United States, formally organized in 1895 with the personal support of the last Czar of Imperial Russia, St. Czar Nicholas II. The church houses original icons and a gospel book donated by the Czar and serves as the resting place of Rev. Archimandrite Theoclitos, the Czar's childhood tutor. From its inception, the parish has been a diverse and multi-ethnic community welcoming Orthodox faithful and interested visitors from all backgrounds. Under the pastoral leadership of V. Rev. Fr. Srdjan Veselinovich, who returned to serve the parish in September 2024, the church continues its long tradition of faithful worship and community fellowship. The parish offers Sunday Divine Liturgy, a youth program, spiritual counseling, and hosts fellowship lunches following services.
