About McCarty Student Center
The McCarty Student Center serves as the campus ministry home for Bobcats for Christ, a community of student believers and seekers affiliated with the University Church of Christ in San Marcos. Located in the heart of the Texas State University campus, which hosts nearly 40,000 students, the center provides Bible studies, worship gatherings, and spiritual mentorship to help college students develop and strengthen their faith during this formative time of life. Through intensive Bible classes, one-on-one studies, mission trips, service projects, and social activities, the community emphasizes growth in godliness, responsiveness to God's Word, and evangelism. The ministry aims to create a supportive church family environment where students can make faith-centered choices and build lasting friendships while glorifying God and advancing the Great Commission.
