About Christ Episcopal Church
Christ Episcopal Church is the oldest continuously meeting Christian community in Temple and the oldest Episcopal congregation in Bell County, worshiping in their historic 1905 house of worship, a Registered Texas Historic Landmark located in downtown Temple. The church welcomes all people with an emphasis on being a community of open doors, open minds, and open hearts, affirming visitors as beloved children of God regardless of where they find themselves on their faith journey. Christ Episcopal offers multiple worship opportunities including Sunday services at 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM, as well as a Noonday Holy Eucharist every Wednesday at 12:05 PM. The congregation is grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the traditions of the Episcopal Church as expressed through the Book of Common Prayer. Beyond worship, the church provides children and youth ministry, adult formation programs, outreach initiatives, and fellowship opportunities designed to help members discover God together and give back to the community.
