The Holy Monastery of Saint Paraskevi, located in Washington, Texas, is an Orthodox monastic community founded in June 2004 by Reverend Elder Ephraim of Philotheou and Arizona. Following the hesychastic tradition of ancient Christian monasticism rooted in Mount Athos, the monastery serves as a spiritual center for prayer, repentance, and worship. The community continues the missionary legacy of Saint Paraskevi, a second-century Christian martyr, by offering a place of quietude and spiritual renewal for both monastic sisters and visiting pilgrims. Visitors are welcome daily to venerate in the church, spend time in prayer, and experience the peaceful environment of this Orthodox spiritual oasis situated about 22 miles northeast of Brenham.

Dress Code: Women must wear long skirts or dresses below the knees, long-sleeved blouses covering the chest to the neck, and a head covering such as a veil or scarf; men must wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts; shoes or sandals with socks are required for both; modest garments are available at the bookstore if needed. Service Format: Daily Vespers and Small Compline (5:00-7:00 PM); Saturday Matins and First Hour (7:00 AM) followed by Divine Liturgy (8:30 AM); Sunday services include Midnight Prayers, Matins and First Hour (6:00 AM) and Divine Liturgy (9:00 AM); non-Orthodox visitors participate from the narthex.
