About The Cross Church
The Cross Church in Wylie has roots in the community dating to 1870, when it began as The Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Nickelville. It later became The Missionary Baptist Church of Wylie, then The First Baptist Church of Wylie in 1942, and took the name The Cross Church in April 2022. The church describes its purpose as spreading God’s fame by making disciples of all people. Weekend worship includes contemporary and traditional services, with Spanish also part of the church’s ministry. Children’s ministry, youth group, and small groups help families and individuals connect, and Growth Groups are offered for every age and stage of life.
