About Christ Church Presbyterian

Christ Church Presbyterian, known locally as CCP, is a theologically progressive and spiritually diverse congregation in Burlington, Vermont that has served its community for 65 years. The church embraces a variety of faith journeys and approaches faith with open and questioning minds, grounded in the Reformed Tradition while being known for progressive, activist, and social justice commitments. CCP is deeply engaged in addressing systemic racism, structural poverty, and human rights issues, having been among the first churches in the country to become a More Light Presbyterian Church in 1984 and more recently joining the Matthew 25 movement to actively serve people who are hungry, oppressed, imprisoned, or poor. The congregation welcomes visitors into a community that is described as a little bit quirky and feisty, offering both Zoom and hybrid in-person services to accommodate members. Led by a pulpit supply team including Rev. Carl Hilton Van Osdall and Rev. Jessica Moore, along with pastoral care from Kristabeth Atwood, the church invites all seeking answers and meaningful spiritual community to join their Beloved Community.
