Churches in Barboursville, VA

For a first Sunday visit, expect service times to lean either mid-morning or later morning among churches with shared schedules. Some begin between 9 and 10 AM, while others start at 11 AM or later, so it is worth checking the church directly before you go. Families will find kids ministry available at some congregations, and youth group is also part of the church mix. If you are hoping to meet people beyond Sunday worship, small groups are offered by a couple of churches. Worship style may help guide your choice: traditional, contemporary, and blended services are all represented where that detail is known. Union Grove Christian Church may be a comfortable starting point for someone exploring faith.

What stands out is the steady community language. Chestnut Grove Baptist Church emphasizes faith and fellowship, Forest Hill Baptist Church is described as community-focused, and Solid Rock Full Gospel serves through Christian worship and fellowship. Alongside the strong Baptist presence, churches like Blue Ridge Community Church and Union Grove Christian Church add distinct invitations centered on following Jesus together and welcoming those exploring faith.
