About Christ Episcopal Church
Christ Episcopal Church is a welcoming and affirming Episcopal congregation located in historic downtown Blacksburg, Virginia, worshiping in one of only two original church buildings remaining in the Sixteen Squares. The church embraces Anglican tradition while embodying Christ's love in the present, offering a rich worship experience centered on the Holy Eucharist and featuring music as an integral part of its liturgy. Christ Church serves the broader Blacksburg community, including Virginia Tech students, faculty, and staff, and is explicitly welcoming to LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and families as a Believe Out Loud congregation. The Rector, Rev. Scott A. West, leads a community committed to nurturing faith, stewardship, and service to those in need, inviting all who seek to engage their mind, heart, and soul in relationship with God and others.
