About The River Anglican Church
The River Anglican Church is an ancient-future community of faith located in Blacksburg, Virginia, blending traditional and contemporary worship practices within the Anglican tradition. Sunday worship at 9:15 a.m. incorporates elements of both historical liturgy and modern expression, featuring Communion, Scripture reading, biblical teaching, and a mix of traditional and contemporary music. The church welcomes families with nursery care for children ages 0-3 and dedicated programming for PreK through 5th grade during the sermon portion of the service. Visitors will find ample parking behind the church with designated visitor spaces accessible from Lee Street, and are invited to gather in the fellowship hall after the service for coffee and community connection. The River's mission centers on knowing, following, and sharing Jesus together, and the church explicitly welcomes baptized believers of all backgrounds to participate in Communion.
