The organization welcomes guests who are typically African-American or Latina single-parent families, offering them stable housing for up to two years while they work toward financial independence through debt reduction and savings. Beyond providing shelter, Casa Alma cultivates a shared urban homestead across its 0.6 acres, featuring extensive gardens, a mini-orchard, berry patch, rainwater catchment systems, laying chickens, miniature dairy goats, and honeybees.
