Holy Ascension Orthodox Church is a parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad, located in Fairfax, Virginia. Founded on May 17, 2007, the church was established by the Most Reverend Bishop Joseph, who served as its spiritual father until his repose in 2020. The parish is under the omophorion of His Eminence Metropolitan Agafangel of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad. Holy Ascension seeks to maintain the teachings and traditions of the Holy Orthodox Church and the historic Orthodox Church of Russia, drawing on the legacy of its founding hierarchs.
