About First Church Christ Scientist
The Christian Science Society of Fredericksburg, Virginia has served the community since 1906, offering spiritual healing through prayer and a deeper understanding of one's relationship to God. Located at 402 Confederate Boulevard just off Route 1, the church welcomes visitors to its colonial-style edifice built in 1977. Services are held twice weekly: Sunday worship and Sunday School from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and Wednesday evening testimony meetings from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Sunday service features lay readers, hymns, prayers, and a Bible Lesson Sermon composed of scriptural passages and selections from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Wednesday meetings invite congregants to share healings and spiritual insights while reflecting on topics of current interest. Child care is provided for all services, and the church extends a warm invitation to all seeking healing through Christian Science.
