About Centenary United Methodist Church
Centenary United Methodist Church is nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Richmond, Virginia, serving a diverse congregation that spans the entire metropolitan area. As a Reconciling Congregation and the first of its kind in the Virginia Conference, Centenary is dedicated to extending full hospitality and inclusion to all people regardless of age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, or background. The church centers its mission on both worship and service, believing that worship catalyzes meaningful community engagement. Beyond Sunday gatherings, Centenary actively partners with local organizations to feed the hungry, support foster children and young adults, and work against racism, while also maintaining global connections through relief efforts in Cambodia and annual meal-packaging events that bring the congregation together.
