About Virginia Hgts Baptist Church
Heights Community Church, located at 2014 Memorial Ave SW in Roanoke, Virginia, is a thriving Baptist congregation that traces its roots to Virginia Heights Baptist Church. Originally founded decades ago, the church underwent a transformative renewal in October 2014 under the leadership of Pastor Nelson Harris, rebranding to reflect its contemporary vision while maintaining its Baptist heritage and affiliations. The church offers two distinct worship experiences—a traditional service at 8:45 AM and a contemporary service at 10:30 AM—both held in a historic sanctuary. With a diverse music ministry led by accomplished musicians and a commitment to community service and spiritual growth, Heights Community Church welcomes visitors from all Christian backgrounds and those new to faith communities.
