About Gateway Christian Education
Gateway Christian Education is an independent, non-denominational Christian church with roots dating back to 1956 in the Saint Albans area of West Virginia. The church has since expanded to five campuses across the state—in Saint Albans, Teays Valley, Beckley, Barboursville, and Marmet—serving a diverse community of believers and seekers. Gateway emphasizes contemporary worship, biblical teaching, and building authentic community through small groups and ministry programs for children and students. The church's vision centers on three core commitments: desiring God through worship and prayer, building vibrant community where people feel valued, and unleashing compassion through active service to neighbors. With a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and a focus on practical, Jesus-centered lessons, Gateway invites visitors to experience worship in a casual but reverent setting.

Dress Code: You are welcome to dress casually and come as you are; many attendees wear jeans, khakis, and comfortable clothing. Service Format: Each worship experience lasts 65–70 minutes and includes contemporary worship with lights and video elements, scripture readings, and Bible-based sermons. Children's programs (nursery through elementary) and student-specific lessons are available during services. Visitor Tips: The Saint Albans campus offers convenient parking in B Street and C Street lots with additional surrounding parking available. A trained security team is present at all campuses. Families with children should plan to check in at the children's station, where staff will help register children into age-appropriate, biblically-engaging programs.
