About Newman Catholic Church
Newman Catholic Parish is a vibrant Catholic community of approximately 275 families serving the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Located within the Ecumenical Religious Center, the parish was established in 1969 and holds a distinctive mission focused on campus ministry alongside serving the broader Eau Claire area. As a Eucharistic community rooted in prayer, learning, service, and hospitality, Newman Parish invites students, faculty, staff, and local residents to participate in worship and spiritual growth. The parish offers Saturday vigil and Sunday morning Masses and provides multiple chapels, study spaces, and gathering areas within the ERC. Visitors are welcome to join the community for liturgy and to explore the various parish activities and ministries that sustain both longtime members and college students.

Dress Code: Not specified — please contact the church directly. Service Format: Saturday vigil Mass at 5:00 pm and Sunday Masses at 8:30 am and 11:30 am (evening Sunday Mass resumes in September). Visitor Tips: The parish is located at the Ecumenical Religious Center next to Hibbard Hall on the UWEC campus and welcomes visitors of all backgrounds to join in worship and community activities.
