About St Ignatius Orthodox Church
Saint Ignatius Orthodox Church is a vibrant community of Orthodox Christians located in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, serving the greater Madison area since 1996. The parish is part of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America and welcomes both longtime Orthodox Christians and inquirers new to the faith. All services are conducted in English and sung a cappella, featuring the beautiful melodies of Byzantine and Russian traditions. First-time visitors are encouraged to attend Saturday evening Great Vespers at 5:00 pm, which is about 45 minutes long, with an Inquirer's Class at 3:30 pm beforehand. Visitor Tips: An informal Inquirer's Class is held weekly at 3:30 pm before Great Vespers, offering a great opportunity to meet the priest, ask questions, and connect with parishioners and other visitors.
