About Our Redeemer Lutheran Church
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is a confessional Lutheran congregation in Madison, Wisconsin, founded in 1954 and now serving the city's west side with a comprehensive ministry. The church is rooted in the teachings of the 1580 Book of Concord and is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). Beyond the main congregation, Our Redeemer offers an early childhood center serving infants through age five in a Christian environment, and a Lutheran school designed to align church, school, and home in the spiritual and academic formation of children. The church proclaims the Gospel, administers the sacraments, and emphasizes the means of grace as the foundation of its ministry. The community seeks to know Jesus deeply and to make him known throughout Madison, while also pursuing new opportunities to cultivate community life through groups oriented toward study, service, and friendship.
