About Society Of Friends
Madison Friends Meeting is an unprogrammed Quaker congregation located in Madison, Wisconsin, welcoming individuals, couples, and families of all backgrounds. Established in 1937 from a group worshiping since the 1920s, the Meeting is part of Northern Yearly Meeting and affiliated with Friends General Conference. Worship centers on an hour of silent waiting, during which members listen for Divine guidance both within themselves and through shared messages. The community embraces Quaker beliefs in the inherent dignity and equal worth of all people, striving to be an actively anti-racist community. Madison Friends Meeting gathers for monthly business meetings and more frequent worship services on the ancestral lands of the Ho-Chunk People.
