About Prince of Peace Lutheran Church-West Salem
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in West Salem is a mission congregation of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, established in 1997 and formally chartered in 1998. The church began with a small group of Bible study participants meeting in homes and expanded to hold services at the elementary school before completing its dedicated building in January 2002. Today, under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Peter Adelsen (installed in August 2022), Prince of Peace serves as a disciple-making community committed to proclaiming the forgiveness of sins in Christ and serving others in His love. The congregation offers multiple worship opportunities, adult and youth education programs, and various ministries designed to help members grow spiritually and connect with their faith community.
