About Union University Church
Union University Church is a welcoming non-denominational community church located at 5 Church Street in Alfred, New York, serving people from many different faith backgrounds. The congregation gathers for worship at 10:30 am on Sunday mornings and is committed to listening to one another's ideas while honoring each diverse faith experience. Children and youth are cherished and integrated into the full life of the church, and service to the community and world forms a foundation of their ministry. Led by The Rev. Dr. Eileen Borduin Vanderzwan, the church embraces the belief that every person is made in the image of God and welcomes people of all races, sexual orientations, gender identities, and backgrounds. The church maintains a Church Center across the street from the main building, which houses offices, Sunday School classrooms, and a fellowship hall known as the King David Room.
