About Church Of The Good Shepherd
Church of the Good Shepherd is an Episcopal parish in Buffalo, New York, with roots stretching back to 1888. The church emphasizes radical welcome and inclusion, rooted in the belief that all people are made in God's image and that Jesus Christ welcomed everyone, especially those society marginalized. After merging with Ascension Episcopal Church in 2018, the congregation continues to serve both spiritual and community needs through Sunday and Wednesday Eucharists, a food pantry operating twice weekly, pet food pantry distribution, and hosting of other community ministries including ballet classes and recovery meetings. The church is part of the Anglican Communion and draws on Scripture, tradition, and reason in its approach to faith. Visitors of all backgrounds are welcomed without exception.
