About Fairhaven United Methodist Church
Fairhaven United Methodist Church, located at 2415 Saw Mill Run Boulevard in Pittsburgh, has served its community since 1881, when Robert Parry's conversion at an evangelical service led to the congregation's founding. The present church building, consecrated in 1907 on a major street at the geographic heart of the community, reflects the congregation's commitment to being a visible presence. Today, Fairhaven welcomes all people regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or background, and emphasizes outreach and mission work as central to its Methodist identity. The church hosts a free community meal on the last Sunday of each month, weekly Bible study, and serves as a meeting place for neighborhood safety groups and recovery programs.
