Under the current leadership of Reverend Doctor Caroles Shedrick Taylor, who was installed as the eighth pastor on October 15, 2023, the church continues a legacy of spiritual growth and community service. The congregation maintains strong ties to its heritage while actively serving the broader Charleston community through various ministries, including the Food Bank, which has served nearly 3,600 individuals and families since its resurrection in April 2017. Morris Street Baptist is affiliated with multiple Baptist conventions and educational organizations, reflecting its commitment to Christian education and missionary work.
