About Gideons International
The Gideons International is an evangelical association dedicated to sharing God's Word and winning others for Jesus Christ. Founded in 1899, the organization equips and mobilizes Christian business and professional men, along with their wives, to spread the Gospel worldwide. The Tyler chapter is part of a global network of over 240,000 members serving in more than 200 countries and territories. The Gideons are known for strategically placing Bibles in hotels, hospitals, shelters, and other locations where people seek hope, while also engaging in direct Gospel outreach and discipleship. Members strengthen one another through fellowship, mutual accountability, and spiritual growth initiatives aimed at making an eternal impact for Christ in their communities and beyond.
