About Prince of Peace Lutheran Church-West Salem
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in West Salem is a mission congregation planted in 1997 by the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, holding its first public worship service in January 1998. The church community began meeting in homes and public spaces before constructing their dedicated building, which was completed and dedicated in early 2002. Today, under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Peter Adelsen, Prince of Peace serves as a disciple-making community committed to proclaiming the forgiveness of sins in Christ and serving others in His love. The congregation offers multiple worship opportunities throughout the week and provides robust adult and youth education programs, along with various ministries and volunteer opportunities. Visitors are warmly invited to join the church family for meaningful worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth in a welcoming environment where new members can feel at home.
