About Holy Trinity Orthodox Church
Holy Trinity Orthodox Church is an Orthodox parish in State College with roots in campus ministry. It began in 1980 as a campus ministry of the Orthodox Church in America Archdiocese of Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania, and the parish has sponsored Penn State’s Orthodox Christian Fellowship since 1997. The church purchased its current building in 1993, and Trinity House Ministry Center opened in January 2016. Father Ignatius Hunter has served as rector since February 1, 2020. The parish’s regular life centers on Orthodox liturgical worship, with Divine Liturgy, Vespers, Great Vespers, Confessions, and children’s ministry.
